For years I’ve been considering of putting together a compilation of the music I have composed and produced for the theatre and the cinema; for which I had many reasons. I wouldn’t wanted it to be just another unused file in my computer’s hard drive, as it depicted the state of my soul at certain periods of my life for the past 15 years. However, I must confess that I would be doing it primarily for myself. In essence, this music is a part of myself… On the other hand people had asked me to publish it; not many I must say but still it was an additional incentive. Some of it was published in Turkey. The rest of it was, as I said, on hard disks waiting to be “refined”, rearranged, re-mastered and so on in order to be ready for publishing. I have never had the time to do all this work. But maybe for the better…

Most of this music had been composed and produced under immense pressure. Often it had to be completed in a very short period of time and without (or quite low) budget. I remember people asking me to write and produce 2 hours of music within a month. Therefore the sketchiness is audible in the sound. Nevertheless, nowadays I like it. It is raw in its sound but very much representing the original inspiration. Not all melodies are included in here. I collected the most interesting parts and edited some of them now available to anyone that wants to listen to it. Finally I must say that several of the music-themes presented in this album belong to other projects borrowed “temporarily” – due to lack of time – from my drawer. Some of them will be released in the near future as they are supposed to be presented.
